Instructors
The Miami Team is looking for a few more good Women. I currently have a fantastic team of instructors, and as we expand into new locations, we are going to need additional instructors to help fill the demand for classes. If you are interested in becoming an instructor, please visit the HOME page of our website (top right hand corner “become an instructor”). Renee O’Connor/ Licensee/Trainer and Instructor.
I am 34 years old and was born in Kingston, Jamaica. I grew up in Miami, and graduated from F.S.U. I’ve always loved to dance, yet never really took any classes. Growing up, I used to beg my brothers to “play school with me” because I always thought I was going to be a teacher. “Life unfolds as it should” because I am now a dance instructor. I took my first class in October of 2004; and it changed my life. I became an AOED certified instructor in May 2005, and an AOED certified trainer in November 2006. April 2007, I’ve taken an the biggest challenge of all, I became one of the newest Territory Owners in the company. I chose Miami, it’s such a fun city, full of beautiful people, and it’s where I grew up. I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful team of Miami instructors. Look out Miami ! The Art of Exotic Dancing for Everyday Women® is about to explode all across this sexy city. Stay tuned……
Diane Edwards, Instructor.
My name is Diane Edwards. I am a 23 year old student finishing my Bachelor in Marketing. I am also a full time employee at a satellite company in Miramar. I am happily single and enjoying my time and journey alone.
I became an AOED instructor after my bad break up and it was the best thing I could have ever done. AOED has helped me to become a stronger more confident individual through it's message that 'Every woman is exotic, sexy and beautiful' and I enjoy bringing that message across in my classes. Between school, work and teaching AOED workshops, I have little time for much else. But when I do get a moment to myself, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends and I absolutely LOVE shopping!
Kara Bailey, Instructor.
I've been married for 8 years to my Best Friend, Marlon and we have one beautiful 2 year old daughter. (See picture to right)
I am currently a Pilates Instructor at our Personal training studio in the Pinecrest/Falls area and Full time Mommy (my favorite job ever).
Renee coaxed me into my 1st Signature Workshop over a year ago and I saw myself in a entire new light. The class brought a new dimension of love for me; and soon after I found myself on the path to becoming an instructor. I became an AOED Certified Instructor in November 2006. I know so many women whom I thought would greatly benefit from the class that I felt the need to become an instructor and share this amazing experience with them. Two trips to FREEZING Pennsylvania later…here I am, standing next to my Old friend Renee…who, from the moment she met me back in the day, took my under her wing and, as it seems, has yet to let go.
Here is a picture of my daughter, she loves to wear my shoes when I come home from teaching.

MaryAnn, Instructor.
My name is MaryAnn and I have lived in Miami my whole life! I was home schooled as a kid and I have attended so many schools that it is a little embarrassing (Miami-Dade, FIU, NSU, The Citadel and UF). It has been a very interesting journey to say the least. I was a biology major for a while but I have since switched to business and I am looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. If all else fails I can write a book on the pros and cons of each school!
I have two children, Gabriel and Dominic. Gabriel is 3 and Dominic is 1 year old. Gabe is my wild man and Dominic wants little to do with anything that doesn't involve him being held the whole time. They keep me busy but I love them to death.
In my free time I volunteer for World Vision, a Christian humanitarian aid organization, which I am super psyched about. I also volunteer for the James Fund. They are an organization committed to serving orphans and widows both in the US and overseas. So far I have traveled with them to Mexico and to the Dominican Republic to work with orphans. I am extremely passionate about the work that they do and I hope to grow with both organizations.
In addition to acting as an ambassador for the coolest company in the world, The Art of Exotic Dancing for Everyday Women that is, I teach baby ballet at a local dance studio. I have been taking dance lessons for about eight years and I enjoy all forms of dance. I first heard about The Art of Exotic Dancing for Everyday Women last January when I planned a bachelorette party for my best friend. I loved the concepts and the message that are core to AOED and I decided to become an ambassador shortly after. I am very excited to be working with the entire AOED team and I am looking forward to great things for this point on!
